South Pegasus hunting block

This coastal block in Rakiura National Park contains deer and possums.
Possum hunting: You need both a restricted hunting permit and a possum trapping permit for this block. Get a possum trapping permit by emailing stewartisland@doc.govt.nz
Bookings required all year.

Permit requirements A permit is required to hunt on public conservation land. This hunting area is covered by a 'restricted area permit' which must be obtained from the DOC office managing the hunting area.

South Pegasus is a coastal block in Rakiura National Park. How to book restricted hunting blocks and apply for hunting permits. Bookings are required and can be made up to 12 months in advance. Check availability of Stewart Island hunting blocks.

A levy per person, per booking is required. Hunting permits will only be sent when relevant fees have been received.
